Sometimes you need the pictures back

A page from a PDF has to go into a slide, a message or a listing, and the receiving app wants an image.

Converting a PDF page to JPG or PNG is the same journey backwards. JPG for photographs, where a smaller file matters more than a perfect edge; PNG where text and lines have to stay crisp.

One caution: the image you get is a picture of the page, text included. Anything readable on it is readable to a person and not to a search. If the text matters as text, the plain-text tool is the right one instead.
